How do you train a rabbit?
I just got a pet rabbit, and I want to train him. How can you litterbox train them? How can you get them to stop chewing on electrical and son chords?
Congratulations, rabbits are great pets! They are actually very clean and all the rabbits I naturally went into the litter box. They choose a place to be their "room" and they go in this one place. I put newspaper around the house to see what place they liked and then I put their litter there. If you let them run around the house, you have to get used the card occasionally to leave … but they generally do not urinate in their corner of the bathroom. Some rabbits chew cords and other not … if you have a chewer I do not know if you can really train it not to chew cords, but you can give them other things to nibble, there are things Chewie wood you can buy at the pet store. Also the newspapers for them to rip and toilet paper tubes to keep them occupied. You may have to buy tubes put around your son as a preventive measure … he / she can electrocute himself. Take time out with your rabbit if he / she gets used to you, you know, just chill together. The more time you spend, the more comfortable he / she will be around you. In addition, they like bananas …. but no more than a tablespoon as a celebration. There is a noise I do when I call them my bunny banana treat and they come running!
